At HI IQ Learning, we specialize in providing personalized, one-on-one academic support through in-person and online tutoring. Our tutors customize lessons for each student they work with and are skilled at building positive, productive relationships that foster learning. Our goal is to help every student we encounter build confidence and thrive in the classroom, and beyond. 

Schedule a free academic assessment so we can best understand and support your child’s educational needs! Assessments take place in person at our learning center or online and last approximately 30 minutes.  We recommend prospective clients select the in-person option, if possible. It’s a great opportunity to visit our space in Manoa Marketplace, and get to know our team members. 

 Our goal is to match students with a tutor who fits both their personality and educational needs. During the assessment, our lead tutors use grade-level learning standards to get a snapshot of a student’s academic standing. They also gather information about students’ learning preferences, passions and interests beyond the classroom

 Afterwards, we send results and a comprehensive report to families including our insights and recommendations for areas of potential focus and development. 

Please note, these complimentary assessments are only available for students in grades PreK-6. For students in grade 7-12, and above, please complete the Tutoring Inquiry Form. We will respond with tutor matching information and start the scheduling process.

In Person Tutoring

We offer in-person tutoring at our space in the Manoa Marketplace. 

We believe meeting in person is the most immediate and beneficial way for students to receive academic support. Students and tutors are fully engaged with one another without the distraction of screens or remote interruptions, and can build a strong report. Being in a dedicated space promotes focus and a sense of independence, and students can  take advantage of the numerous resources and educational materials available in our Learning Center. 

Online Tutoring

We offer online tutoring for students who would prefer to meet remotely, or for families who can’t make it out to Manoa on a regular basis. 

We understand scheduling can be tricky and some students prefer a remote environment, regardless! Our tutors deliver the same high-quality, personalized experience for their online clients as they do in person. They employ user-friendly digital classroom software that makes it easy for students to interact with lessons and share work, and they take the time to establish a relationship with their remote clients.
